BioAfter appearing in Paris at the tail-end of 1982, I was then to be found in London, trusting my mother to pick my friends for me. After spending years spinning dreidels with people from Sunday School, I grew older and went from poncey school to poncey school, watching as we moved from the ghetto of Knightsbridge to the projects of Sloane Square.
My gap year saw me reviewing shoes for a living, watching DVDs in Japan again for a living, and helping a young Oriental man pass his chemistry degree (for a living, yes, but with intense pleasure at the same time).
I, amazingly, actually got a (very wonderful) girlfriend just before I turned 20. It suddenly transformed me from an emotionally immature, overweight floppy disk collector to someone, well, slightly less emotionally immature. But I'll still cry if you say hurtful things about my face.
